Golf Shop Update

Our Golf Shop renovation is progressing as planned. The demolition is now complete and the walls now relined with gypock. Next week will see a start on the floors and follwoing this the shop fitout will commence. We are still on track for a July 16th opening.

Slow Play Reminder

There have been several reports of slow play in the last few weeks. Consequently, some members have been issued slow-play warning letters. We remind all members to maintain their position in the field and keep up with the group in front. Our Club's Slow Play Policy is available here

GUR – Compulsory or not?

Ground under repair—golfers often spell it or say it as "GUR"—falls under the heading of an abnormal ground condition and is exactly what its name implies: ground that is being repaired by the course superintendent or maintenance crew.

Recently due to the heavy rainfall we have occasionally had a local rule stating that “All Bunkers are GUR”. This means that players may play the ball from the bunker if they choose,OR, they can take relief outside the bunker, at the nearest point of full relief no nearer the hole, with a drop taken within one club length of that point. There is no penalty.

The same options apply to any area which has been identified by the course staff as GUR. However, if an area is identified as “Compulsory GUR”, relief must be taken, again with no penalty.

Temporary Local Rule: Roped Stakes

Following the recent heavy rains, the course maintenance team installed additional roped stakes across wet fairways susceptible to cart damage (holes 15, 17, 9, 22, etc.). GPS Exclusion Zones have been temporarily implemented on our cart fleet GPS. We request that private cart users also please avoid these areas and stay clear of tees, greens, and surrounds.

Temporary Local rule: Roped stakes are to be treated as Immovable Obstructions. Complete relief applies in accordance with Rule 16.1a.

Blue Stakes - Habitat Areas

In the coming weeks, our Volunteers and Greens Staff will commence identifying Habitat Areas through various areas of the golf course. These areas will be identified by Blue Stakes. The Blue Stakes will be used to visualise these areas for maintenance and habitat regeneration purposes. These bushland areas are located between the 18th, 19th & 20th holes, the 18th tee and 21st tee and the 7th and 23rd holes. If/when a golfer's ball comes to rest in these areas, there is NO relief from these areas - continue playing as normal.

Meet the Team

Hi, my name is Cindy. I live in Lemon Tree Passage. I love golf, and I used to play off 20.4. I have previously worked at Duntry League Golf Shop. What I enjoy about golf operations is getting to meet so many fellow golfers. A nice bonus is getting to see all the new gear and fashions golf has to offer. I'm looking forward to meeting all the members over time…

What you don’t know about me, I own a one-off yellow custom TM spider putter, it’s unfortunately not for sale!
