Course update

Course Update

The majority of the golf course is currently in excellent condition, with the recent stretch of great spring weather helping the course recover well. As water levels continue to recede (slowly), we’re gradually reopening more areas, with the 6th green now back in play.

Unfortunately, the area on the 16th/22nd is not subsiding, since the water level peaked in August, the water has only dropped approximately 200mm. The deepest areas of the water mass are still over half a meter deep. Unfortunately, we do not see this area recovering any time soon.

Selective verti-draining is being carried out in wet areas, including the 23rd and 6th fairways. Verti-draining aerates the soil profile, and we envision this helping turf recovery and facilitating the drying out of these areas.

Stump grinding is continuing throughout the course as part of the ongoing cleanup program. Tree loppers will return next week to continue chipping and removing dangerous trees in areas affected by flooding. As conditions improve, machinery access will allow further works to be completed.

Golf Course Renovations Reminder

Course renovations are scheduled to begin in just over six weeks, with Greens Renovations commencing on Monday, 24 November, followed by Fairway Coring from Thursday, 27 November.

Golf Connect Update

We continue to have a delay in processing daily golf competitions, allocating prizes and applying any necessary handicap adjustments. Our current temporary golf courses (due to the golf course adjustments from flooding) have not synchronised with Golf Connect and MiClub. This is expected to happen in the coming days, and once complete, our Golf Shop Team will commence re-entering competition scores and processing competitions. This is a manual process and will take some time. We thank members for their patience.

Upcoming Golf Events

We have a number of golf events that are now accepting bookings. These events include:
